As a learner, I would like to learn what I am eager to know. I want a place for me to be able to concentrate. I need abundant resources at hand. I wish to communicate with other learners. I prefer my teacher, if luckily I can have one, to be a wise and affable mentor other than a walking encyclopedia or an overseer.
As a teacher, I will try to give all the best I own to facilitate my students’ learning. I wish to be the teacher that I, as a learner, want to have.
After each workday, I will need to ask myself questions as follows:
Did I use the best methods to activate and keep my students’ interest in the subject?
Did I answer every of their intriguing questions correctly, fully and clearly? If not, did I tell them that I could not and if they will they may find better answers?
Did I provide my students information about other resources (books, periodicals, website, movies, etc.) for them to explore further?
Did I create chances for them to get in touch with other learners or professionals to communicate about their learning?
Did I encourage my students to think deeply about the topics that we discussed and challenge my authority?
Was I positive all the time? Did I make my students realize what they achieved and trust in themselves?
Did I reach out to my students and know more about them than yesterday? Did I show them my opinion that everybody has different characters, may keep his/her special learning style and it is good?
Did I arrange the classroom in a style appropriate for concentration while at the same time comfy and interesting?
Did I learn some from my students, colleagues, or any other people that might help me improve my teaching?

I know I cannot always meet my criteria. However, after each night of reflection, I will realize what I still lack and try to be better the next day. And every morning will be a new starting point.
